Pastor Lance speaks about showing out for the Lord. Have you ever shown out? Have you ever been so excited about something that you made a spectacle about it? Typically there is something negative associated with our showing out, for example people might talk about us. This sermon is centered on a sinner who showed out and in doing so, glorified God, made Jesus smile, increased her faith, and gave her peace.
We should take a moment to understand, that to God, all sins are equal – none is greater or lesser than another. Being so, we should not look at one another and compare our sins with theirs. We should not take on a self-righteous attitude and think that we are better than someone else or think that we sin less than he or she does. What He truly wants from us is for us to have faith in Him. It is our faith in God that activates His forgiveness. When we realize this, let us zealously show our faith through our actions, keeping in mind that we have sinned plentifully, but God has forgiven it all mercifully.
